    Never lift or carry heavy objects. Do not carry the baby on one hip, as it pressurizes the back causing pain. Also, do not use high heels, rather look for broad and supporting heels. Use maternity bras to prevent stress on the shoulders and the rib cage.

    Massaging softly relieves backache, as it improves blood circulation. You should be careful during massaging, if the cause of the back problem is sciatica, as it can worsen the condition.

    Consult the doctor to discuss a diet plan, so as to gain weight according to your size and frame. Excess body weight will naturally put a lot of strain on the back.
